This tour combines many classic sights of Mongolia. It first leads to the west of Ulaanbaatar, and then into the Gobi.

1st Day Ulaanbaatar

Arrive in Ulaanbaatar. Hotel accommodation. City Tour. Visit the Gandan monastery, one of the great Buddhist centers in Mongolia, visit the Bogd Khan Museum and the Natural History Museum. (M, A)

2nd Day Baga Gazaryn Chuluu

Drive to the mountain Baga Gazaryn Chuluu, a massive granite rock with a height of 1751 meters a.s.l. In the afternoon you arrive at your camp. (B, L, D)

3rd Day Baga Gazaryn Chuluu

The short trip leads you to beautiful rocky Mountains of Baga Gazaryn Chuluu. You go on exploration tour through the wild romantic rocky landscape. Marvel at ancient rock paintings and monumental stone tombs. (B, L, D)

4th Day South Gobi

Ride into the South Gobi. Along the way you can see rare animals. (Gazelle, antelope, vultures ,..). Of course, photo stops are possible. Overnight in camp. (B, L, D)

5th Day Vultures gorge

You spend all day in the Gobi National Park in the eastern Altai Mountains. Besides a visit to the Gobi museum, take a trip to the vultures gorge (Yolyn Am), which is located in the heart of the Gobi National Park Saikhan. Visit to camel breeders. Overnight in camp. (B, L, D)

6th Day sand dunes Khongoryn els

Trip to the sand dune in the southern Gobi Khongoryn els. Ascent of the up to 400 m high dune. You will experience an unforgettable sunset in the Gobi. Overnight in camp at the edge of the dune. (B, L, D)

7th Day Bayanzag (Dino Auer cemetery)

Ride into the middle gobi on Bayanzag, where there is a dinosaur cemetery and dinosaur eggs lie buried in the sand. Here the first major dinosaur discoveries were made in the Gobi. There are also extensive forests in Bayanzag Sauxal. The Sauxal tree is a very slow-growing desert tree. Hike. Overnight in camp. (B, L, D)

8th Day Ongiin Khiid

Journey to monastery ruins Ongiin Khiid. On both sides of the river Ongiin once there were large temples. In these times over 1000 monks lived in the temples. Visit the ruined monastery and meet monks and learn about the history of this place. Overnight in camp. (B, L, D)

9th Day Kharkhorin

Drive to Kharkhorin. Lunch en route to a rancher. Mongolian cuisine for dinner (meat in the milk jug). Overnight in camp. (B, L, D)

10th Day Kharkhorin

Visit the monastery Erdene Zuu, one of the first Buddhist monasteries built in 16 Century in Mongolia. Afternoon excursion to the Orkhon Valley and the Great Khan's monument. Visiting yak breeders nomad. Evening concert. Overnight in camp. (B, L, D)

11th Day Khogno Khan uul (mountains)

Continue to Khogno Khan uul. Visit the monastery Erdene Khamb and walk to the old monastery ruins Uvgun Khiid. Afternoon visit to horse breeders. Horse riding. Overnight in camp. (B, L, D)

12th Day.Terelj

Drive to Terelj National Park. Afternoon excursion through the area and opportunities for horse riding in the beautiful forested area with hills and granite rocks. Overnight in camp. (B, L, D)

13th Day Ulaanbaatar

Drive back to Ulaanbaatar. In town shopping and dining. Overnight at hotel. (B, L, D)

14th Day Departure

Travel to the airport. (F)
