The northern part of Mongolia is dominated by its magnificent seascape. The Lake Khuvsgul is the little brother of Lake Baikal and is the largest freshwater lake in the country. The water is so clear that at some places there is a visibility depth of up to 24 m. The tribe of the Tsaatan, which are the last reindeer nomads of Mongolia lives in this region around the Lake Khuvsgul. Their religion is shamanism.
Continue on to the Lake Khuvsgul Terkhiyn Tsagaan Nuur through one of the most pristine landscapes in the country. Shortly before the Terkhiyn Tsagaan Nuur, the tour takes just over 2500 m high pass Terkhiyn. The Tsagaan Nuur is an ancient volcanic landscape with bizarre rock formations. Then you will visit the ruins of Kharakhorum, the ancient capital of Mongolia, and the Erdene Zuu monastery.

1st Day Ulaanbaatar

Arrivel in Ulaanbaatar. Hotel accommodation. City Tour. Visit of the Gandanklosters, one of the great Buddhist centers in Mongolia, visit the Bogd Khan Museum, Zaisan monument and the market. (L, D)

2nd Day Monastery Amarbayasgalant

Departure for Amarbayasgalant. Amarbayasgalant Khiid is one of the largest monasteries of Mongolia. It's history goes back to the beginning of the 18th century. Overnight in camp. (B, L, D)

3rd Day Murun

Journey towards Murun. Sightseeing of the extinct volcanoes of Uran Togoo uul and Uran uul. Uran uul is 1685 m a.s.l. It's crater is 50-60 m deep and the rim of the crater has a length of 500-600m. Overnight in camp. (B, L, D)

4th Day Lake Khuvsgul

Approach to Lake Khuvsgul. The landscape represents the northern part of Mongolia. Forested slopes and large clear rivers are the distinctive character of this region. Accommodation at the camp near the lake. (B, L, D)

5th Day Lake Khuvsgul

Spending a day on the lake with hiking, watching birds and other animals. You can also take a horseback ride along the lakeshore. Overnight in camp. (B, L, D)

6th Day Jargalant

Departure from Lake Khuvsgul towards Terkhiyn Tsagaan Nuur. The trail passes through the central part of Mongolia. After our arrival in Jargalant we relax in the hot springs and relax us from today's ride. Overnight in camp. (B, L, D)

7th Day Terkhiyn Tsagaan Nuur

Excursions in Tsagaan Nuur National Park Khorgo Terkhiyn. The lake Terkhiyn Tsagaan Nuur is considered to be one of the most beautiful of Mongolia. Overnight in camp. (B, L, D)

8th Day Volcano Khorgo

Khorgo volcano hike. The lava is covered with a sparse larch forest. The surface of the lava field is crossed by numerous, turtle-like armor, burst back. The main crater has a diameter of approximately 800m and a depth of approximately 50m. There is also the possibility of horse riding. Overnight in camp. (B, L, D)

9th Day Kharkhorin

Drive to Kharkhorin. Afternoon excursion to the Orkhon Valley and the Great Khan's monument. Visiting Nomadic yak breeders. Overnight in camp. (B, L, D)

10th Day Kharkorin

Visit the monastery Erdene Zuu one of, the first Buddhist monasteries built in 16th century in Mongolia. Enjoy a morning ceremony. Visit the ruins of the ancient city Kharakhorum. Mongolian cuisine for dinner (meat in the milk jug). Evening concert. Overnight in camp. (B, L, D)

11th Day Ugii nuur (Lake)

Drive to the Lake Ugii. Overnight in camp at the lake. With a little luck, there are fresh fish for dinner. (B, L, D)

12th Day Khogno Khan uul (mountains)

Trip to the mountains Khogno Khan. Visit of the monastery Erdene Khamb and walk to the old monastery ruins Uvgun Khiid. Afternoon visit to horse breeders. Horse riding. Overnight in camp. (B, L, D)

13th Day Ulaanbaatar Drive back to Ulaanbaatar. In town shopping and dining. Overnight at hotel. (B, L, D)

14.Day Departure

Travel to the airport. (F)
